Climate controlled storage, sometimes referred to as temperature controlled storage, is a type of storage unit that is specially designed to keep the temperature from getting too hot or too cold. Typically, the temperature will remain from approximately 55 to 85 degrees Fahrenheit. All of our climate controlled spaces are indoor and range from 25 square feet to 160 square feet. We have a section of storage spaces that are accessible only through our office adding a extra layer of security and the location also helps reduce dust and moisture. This group of spaces are only available during our office hours. Our larger climate control spaces are conveniently located toward the front of our facility. This building also has a two layered door system adding protection from the outdoor environment. Due to demand, supplies of our climate controlled spaces can be limited so be sure to call ahead to see if we have the size you need for your goods.

Sensitive items like wood furniture, antiques and musical instruments can suffer from warping, splitting, or cracking due to constant change in temperature. Additionally, items like fine art, books, photographs, collectibles, electronics and business records can also be damaged due to the highs and lows of temperature change. These items benefit from climate controlled storage.

Extended Stay

If you plan to store your goods for an extended period, a climate controlled space might be the right choice for you. The longer your things are in storage the more chance they have of experiencing a large temperature swing. Our weather here in Rockwall can be quite capricious and you never know when we are going to have a sweltering day or a unexpected freeze over. Our climate controlled spaces can mitigate the issues related to these extreme conditions.
